In early October, I was sent to Egypt by my company to organize a conference there. After hours of travelling, I arrived at the hotel only to receive a phone call from a colleague to say that the conference, which was supposed to be held the next day, was to be cancelled! 

The next day, some participants started to get frustrated as they were not properly informed about the cancellation. So, all of them demanded to speak to my manager on the phone to seek clarification.

The following day, as I was packing to return home, I heard someone knocking on my room door. When I looked out the peep hole, I saw a few of the participants outside my room. I took a few seconds to pray, asking God for help. When I opened the door, they angrily pushed me into my room and began asking me all kinds of questions. Then they made me go to the police station, where they lodged a report saying that my company was a scam! I called my director and told her about the situation and I could see the participants were still very angry. I was praying and declaring that God will deliver me from this matter and that I will be back to Malaysia safely.

After a long discussion, the case was finally settled and I was allowed to leave Egypt to return home! From this “crisis”, I’ve learnt to stand firm in God always. As we pray, we must also believe and declare that He will deliver us from any circumstance. In fact when I was on the plane to Cairo, I was declaring that I will be going there and will be coming back safely without being harmed. I will continue to trust in my Lord Jesus Christ who delivers me!
